Fish We Catch

The fish you will catch aboard the Legacy depends upon the season and conditions. For three generations and more than 150 years, the Tillett, Cannady and Croswait families have fished the coastline and offshore Gulf Stream waters off the Outer Banks. The crew of the Legacy knows where the fish are at any time during the year.

Generally we fish in the Gulf Stream current off the Outer Banks. This rich warm river of water brings bait fish and their pelagic predators such as marlin, sailfish, tuna, mahi-mahi (dolphin) and wahoo. We also spend time fishing closer to shore and depending on the season, we may encounter other species of fish including King Mackerel, Cobia, Striped Bass and others.
