Today was a really nice day to be on the water. We went back up the road to look for marlin and gaffer dolphin. We set out this morning I don’t think the ballyhoo had gotten all the way wet before we raised our first marlin. It was a white and we got him. We trolled around for a while a hour or so and finally raised a nice gaffer dolphin. He was about 15#. Set back out and caught another one almost identical to the first. We set back and trolled for a while longer before we hooked another white marlin. Caught him pretty quick set back out and had another bill after the right short real lazy acting, but far enough from the last catch to not think it be the same one. We trolled for another hour or so before having a sail on the flat. We caught him set back and trolled around some more. Had another sail come up on the other flat hooked him he pulled some drag then came off. Little bit frustrated we set back and troll some more. Just about to the end of our day we hook our final sail and caught him. That gave us a tally of 2 whites, 2 sails, and 2 15# gaffer dolphin. A great day bill fishing with a little meat on the side.
