Today started out with a SE 15-20 knot head to ride out. When we finally got to the fishing grounds we were pleasantly surprised catching 2/3 yellowfin pretty quick. It seemed though soon as the rest of the fleet got there the what little bit of bite was stopped. After that there was a scattered tuna and gaffer dolphin caught throughout day in the fleet. We scraped out a few gaffers as well. At the end of the day a couple boats found one little mark that 4 boats were able to get hit by the yellowfin and unfortunately for us and about 6 other boats were not able to capitalize on it. That’s the way it works sometimes. Glad to see a little more sign of fish around look forward to seeing what the morning brings us.

The guys that ran down the beach didn’t find the dolphin. We had 7 bites and ended up catching 4 decent sized yellowfin tuna and a gaffer dolphin. There was a little sign of fish hopefully things will keep shaping up. We will find out in the morning.

Today Mother Nature showed just how strong she is. We left yesterday with the 74 degree water crossing the point and today the water had shoved offshore and down almost to Hatteras. We did end up catching a bakers dozen of nice sized gaffer dolphin. There were a couple boats that did get lucky and hit some yellowfin. Hopefully things will get right tomorrow and we gett’em in the morning. The weather was considerably better though.

Today we had some tough conditions to fish in. The water was there but the 25 knot SW wind on top of it made it hard. We ended up pulling it out though. We caught 30 plus gaffer dolphin a blackfin and a nice yellowfin tuna. The weather man said it was going to fall out as the day went on and he was right just about time to go home. Would have been nice if it was a little earlier like predicted but we made the best of it. Our guys stayed busy all day long. The way things were shaping up by the end of the day I think tomorrow will be good too. We will see in the morning.

Today the dolphin fishing wasn’t quite as good as it was yesterday but we did end up with a nice catch. We had to work at it all day and it paid off with thirty plus dolphin with most of them being gaffers. It looks like the weather will be changing for the next couple days but looks really good for Tues and Wed which we have both of those days open. If you want to get into some world class gaffer dolphin fishing give me a call at 252.305.7960. We would love to have you.

The wind finally quit blowing and the gaffers have shown up. Today was slick calm and the gaffer dolphin fishing was very good. When we finally got right on the grass line we were able to catch a limit of fish pretty fast. We caught all of them in a hour and a half. That’s really gettin’er done. I hope it holds out for tomorrow too.

Today the fishing was about the same as it has been the last few days. The conditions were a little bit tougher though. There was a 15-20 SE wind with rain that made it kinda tough to fish. We had 3 yellowfin bites and caught 1. Plus a blackfin tuna and all the albacore you wanted. Two boats did end up catching a few more tuna but overall it was slow. We don’t have a trip till the weekend but with the weather report for the next few days I don’t think anyone will make it anyway. That could be good it might give things a chance to really come together. The summer is coming fast so don’t miss out on a chance to get your feet wet give me a call. The fishing is going to get better and better. (252)305-7960

Today was about the same as yesterday a little on the slow side. The conditions are trying to improve. The water is pushing up and getting in a little more suitable position for things to really take off. It just seems like any day we will go out there and will take off. We ended up catching 3 blackfin with 3 or 4 bites to go to the boats that were fishing. There were as many albacore as you wanted to catch though. We are booked tomorrow but the weather might get us. We will see in the morning.

Water that you should have no problem getting a scattered tuna or dolphin bite in. But it seemed as if there was nobody home. There was a lot of area covered with not a lot of action for the whole fleet. We had one mako eat a teaser and that was it for our day. Hopefully something will change for tomorrow.
